Terms of use.

The terms that apply when you browse this site. Short, because a portfolio site should not need a long contract.

Last updated: August 5, 2026

// The short version

This is a studio’s website. Read it, share it, get in touch. Don’t scrape it, republish it as your own, or treat anything on it as a binding quote.

Real work runs on a signed agreement, not on this page — and if these terms ever contradict a contract we’ve both signed, the contract wins.

//01 These terms

curiousobjects.dev is operated by Curious Objects LLP (“Curious Objects”, “we”, “us”) of Sharjah Media City, Sharjah, Dubai.By using the site you accept these terms. If you don’t accept them, please don’t use the site.

How we handle personal data is a separate document — see our privacy policy.

//02 What this site is

A portfolio and an introduction. It describes who we are, shows selected work, and gives you a way to reach us. That is the entire function of it — there is no account to create, nothing to buy here, and no service delivered through this domain.

//03 Not an offer

Nothing on this site is a contractual offer, a quote, or a commitment to take on work. Descriptions of what we do, capabilities, timelines and any figures shown are illustrative and may change without notice.

Emailing us does not create a client relationship, and neither does our replying. A relationship begins when we both sign something that says so.

//04 Client work & products

Engagements are governed by the proposal, statement of work or master services agreement signed for that engagement. Where those documents and this page disagree, the signed document prevails for everything within its scope.

Our products carry their own terms and policies, which apply instead of these when you use them — for the Parceler Shopify app, see its privacy policy and the terms presented at install.

//05 Intellectual property

The design, code, copy, images and the Curious Objects name and mark are owned by us or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. We keep all rights not expressly given to you here.

Client work shown on this site is published with permission. Those clients’ names, logos and marks belong to them, and nothing here grants you any right to use them.

You may view the site, and quote or link to it with attribution — that is welcome. Anything beyond that needs our written permission.

//06 Acceptable use

Please don’t:

  • Copy, mirror, or republish the site or substantial parts of it as your own.
  • Scrape or bulk-harvest it, or use automated tools in a way that degrades it for others.
  • Use it to train or fine-tune machine learning models without our written permission.
  • Probe, attack, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it.
  • Use it for anything unlawful, or in a way that infringes someone else’s rights.

Security researchers: if you find something, we would much rather hear from you than not — email hello@curiousobjects.dev and we will work with you in good faith.

//07 Ideas you send us

If you send us an unsolicited idea, pitch, concept or feature suggestion, please understand that we cannot treat it as confidential. We work across many products and may already be building something similar, or may do so later, independently of you.

So: by sending us an unsolicited idea, you agree we are free to use it without obligation, payment or credit, and you keep no claim over what we build. If you need an idea protected, tell us before you send it and we will put an NDA in place first.

This is about unsolicited ideas only. It does not apply to anything covered by a signed agreement, and it does not apply to job applications.

//08 Journal & opinions

Anything we publish in the journal is our opinion at the time of writing. It is not professional, legal, financial or technical advice, and you should not act on it without your own judgment. We may be wrong, and we don’t promise to keep old posts up to date.

//10 Availability

We don’t promise the site will be available without interruption or free of errors. We may change it, restructure it, or take content down at any time without notice — including work shown here, if a client asks us to.

//11 Disclaimer

The site and everything on it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We take care to keep the site accurate, but we don’t warrant that it is complete or current.

//12 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, including lost profits, lost business or lost data.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

This clause is about this website. Liability for client work is set by the agreement covering that work.

//13 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Sharjah. Disputes arising out of them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sharjah.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.

//14 Changes

We may update these terms. The version published here is the one that applies, and the “last updated” date above tells you when it changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

//15 Contact
